ITV Digital in administration

Renegotiation with the Football League failed and ITV Sport Channel has been put into administration. ITV Sport Channel part of ITV Digital who are owned by Granada and Carlton are already operating at a loss per game.

They currently owe the league £178.5 million for rights to run the games on live tv, Worthington Cup and League matches.

In fact, according to ITV.com, the broadcaster can only afford £50 Million more - a shortfall of almost £130 million.
