International Round Up 9/9/09

Tuncay

Turkey needed a win over Bosnia but, despite taking a 4th minute lead, Tuncay Sanli's side were unable to hold on and were pegged back for a draw to leave them four points behind second placed Bosnia. Captain Tuncay played the full 90 minutes but was unable to find a winning goal.

The Turks now have a mountain the size of Everest to conquer just to get in the play offs and there World Cup hopes seem to be over.

Thomas Sorenson

Danish keeper Sorenson returned to the side after his one game ban and helped his side claim a 1-1 draw away to Albania.

Sorenson's side took an early lead but were pegged back to force a share of the spoils.

The Danes are now right on the verge of qualification and look assured of a place in South Africa next summer.
