Gudjon is paid off

Gudjon was sacked 5 days after promotion and therefore sued for Unfair Dismissal and his Promotion Bonus money which he never recieved, amounting up to £100,000 at first.

However, Gudjon has accepted a £37,500 pay off and the matter is now resolved.

A club spokesman said: 'We can announce that the club have reached an amicable settlement with the former manager Gudjon Thordarson following his departure from the club in May last year.

'The club will pay a total sum of £37,500 in settlement of Mr Thordarson's claims and are pleased to bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion. No further statements will be made by the club.'
