Ground Share: One step too far

The Valiants - Also known as our soap-dodging neighbours are losing £500,000 a year and have been forced to go into administration with current debts of around £2.4M.

The idea of a ground share of the Britannia Stadium has been raised and when asked in an interview with BBC Radio Stoke, The Chairman said that his ears are open to any ideas.

He will be keen on the idea if a suitable rent can be agreed.

However The Britannia Stadium is owned by a consortium - Stadium Development Company - which includes Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration and Stoke-on-Trent City Council who would also be open for negotiation and may swing the balance Port Vale's way.

The outcome will surely come down to the Chairman and for once he will need to put fans and tradition before a business opportunity. We've taken alot of bad things as Stoke supporters, but a Ground Share is one step too far.
