Full Back Agrees To Move North

Potters defender Carl Dickinson looks set to complete a move to Preston North End on his return from the clubs pre-season tour of Austria, after all parties involved agreed terms.

A fee of £750,000 will be paid to the Potters, all profit as the committed full back came through the clubs academy, making his debut in November 2004.

Dickinson, 22, was hindered by injuries throughout his early career, including a broken ankle in pre-season for 2005/6 but still managed to play 60 games for the Potters and although he failed to score his celebrations at victories, especially during the run in of the promotion campaign, will remain with the Potters for ever.

Dicko couldn't quite force himself into the Potters top flight team and had loan spells at Blackpool, Leeds and Barnsley to gain experience but the time has now arrived for the defender to sign for a side where he can play every week and settle down.
