“At Stoke, I have two very good goalkeepers ahead of me, so I have not really been in this situation before and it’s a nice opportunity for me”, he said.

Foster has been in commanding form since arriving at Wrexham, helping them to get into the LDV Vans Trophy Northern Final and also keeping a clean sheet - only their third of the season – against an in form Doncaster Rovers side who are chasing promotion from the division.

“I didn’t know we had gone 20 league matches without a clean sheet until we got back in the dressing room after the final whistle.

“The mood was one of slight disappointment, as we felt we should have taken all three points.

“Now we have to look to keep this run going against Walsall and hopefully get that important win.

“A victory could lift us out of the bottom four and that’s a great incentive to go there with.”

Ben has quickly settled into the squad with his team mates despite only being with Wrexham for a couple weeks.

He added: “They are a good set of lads and have made me feel at ease from the start. I’m enjoying my football here and I’m grateful for the chance to show what I can do.”
