Five Stay Home As Squad Jet Off To Austria

City have travelled to Austria today, light of five first team players.

Striker Ricardo Fuller has been giv en extra time off to help rebuild a family home in Jamaica after a riot burnt the property down. Fuller is funding and helping with the rebuild so has been given extra time to see over the project.

Goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is also on extended leave after his World Cup campaign with Denmark left him with next to no time off and he has been given time off until the Potters get back from Austria.

The quintent of players not travelling also involves striker James Beattie and David Kitson aswell as midfielder Diego Arismendi. The trio have all stayed home and will continue their pre-season training in the Potteries, whilst it is still unclear the reasons for their absence rumours vary from not having their passports to remaining home to finalise their departure from the club.
