Ex-Potters boss sacked

Potters fans will no doubt be sad to hear that Gudjon who led the club to the first division has been relieved of his duties.

Gudjon always had his critics at Stoke but he did eventually lead the team to play-off glory and everyone was shocked and angered at the way he was unceremoniously axed only a few days after his greatest moment at the helm.

Most people were glad to see Gudjon get back into English football following his appointment as Barnsley manager and many Stoke supporters have followed results of the Tykes ever since.

Gudjon seemed to be doing a decent job in Yorkshire, they were top for a while and have always looked to be strong play-off candidates. However, a run of just 8 points from a possible 33 has led the club to relieve Thordarson of his duties with Paul Hart taking control.

I'm sure all Stoke fans wish Gudjon well and hope that he bounces back soon.
