Etherington Eyes Top Ten Finish

Stoke bowed out of the FA Cup at the weekend at Liverpool, leaving just the league placings that they have to play for and Etherington feels that a successful season for the Potters would be to finish in the top ten.

Stoke currently sit 14th in the table which in itself isn’t bad considering the long runs they have had in the FA Cup and the Europa League, but after spending so much time this season in the top half of the table, it’s only fitting that they should finish there.

"We've got to finish this season strongly,"the winger told the club's official website.

"We deserve to finish in the top 10, I don't think anyone can argue with that.

"We missed out last season, but if we can make sure this time around, then I think you can say it's been a successful campaign."
