Cotterill will be appealing against the red-card for Tommy Mooney and insists there is no evidence that Mooney stamped on Burnley's Tony Grant, who had just gone in with a bad challenge, unpunished, against Mooney.
Cotterill Said "Tommy will get the headlines for all the wrong reasons, but I'm confident he will correct it in time.
"He gave us that bit of experience we have missed and he will get better the more games he plays."
