"The search for a replacement will begin immediately.
"Steve Cotterill arranged for the first team squad to have this week off and the club will make an announcement regarding interim arrangements as soon as is possible."
If we were to make a guess it is fairly likely to be Sunderland who sacked Peter Reid a few days ago who have tempted Cotterill to leave his post at the potters.
