The Potters desperate last ditch activity has seen Marc Wilson join the Potters, with Liam Lawrence and David Kitson going the other way.
Wilson, 23, had agreed terms with the Potters earlier todday, but was left kicking his heels as he waited for Liam Lawrence to agree terms at Fratton Park, with the Republic of Ireland international deciding at the last minute that he was prepared to move south.
City have signed four players today with Salif Diao, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Jermaine Pennant joining Wilson in signing for the Potters btoday whilst Kitson and Lawrence were the only two to depart.
