9 years ago today: Commons picks up interest

Kris Commons Today

We knew it would happen but the news will unrest many Stoke fans. Only just today Kris Commons in front of these premiership scouts had another wonderful game topped off with a fine goal which he produced himself, with a nifty 1-2.

Stoke need to keep the team together in order to progress this season - otherwise we will suffer relegation. We cannot afford to sell a vital asset if we are to move forward.

Chairman Gunnar Gislasson today said the Icelanders will show their support for Steve Cotterill before the next home game, instead of signing a player or making funds available as first thought - maybe we would prefer this news to be NOT selling Kris Commons.

We will keep you updated.

Acceptable bids made for Commons are expected to be over the 2 million mark.

It is possible that Scouts were also checking out Belerussian International Captain Sergei Shtaniuk.
