Stoke City manager Tony Pulis says they will not pay £6m to Real Zaragoza for on-loan winger Jermaine Pennant.Reports in the national press claim the Spanish club is looking for a sizable fee for the 27-year-old, despite signing him on a free transfer.

Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke; "I don't think he'll be coming to Stoke for £6m. It's too much, £6m is ridiculous.

"He likes it here, he's part of it, we need to get good players in, and Jermaine's a good player."

Pennant joined the Potters on a six-month loan in August and is keen on extending his stay at the Britannia Stadium.

The former Birmingham winger has played just two matches as a substitute for Zaragoza since signing for them from Liverpool in 2009.
