11-a-side preview: Preston A v Potters

Last updated : 04 September 2010 By Dan Buxton

Today see's the Potters 11-a-side fans team start their season and face the toughest test possible as they face up against league, cup and 3-day tournament champions Preston.

Potters were due to face Wolves on the 14th August, coinciding with the first teams opening game of the season but Wanderers called the game off with 48 hours notice, leaving the Potters with no match practice going into this game.

Last season Preston finished top of the 72 team league, won the cup and then in July triumphed past over 120 sides to win the 3-day IFA tournament in Leeds, whilst they also won 7-1 last weekend.

After a late rush the team has more than enough numbers and will be hoping to put up  credible performance.

There will be a minutes silence prior to kick off in honour of Rex Orrin.
