Away Day Review: Sunderland(18/9/11)

Journey

Going to Sunderland was fine, with little or no traffic. Minor hold up on way back 8/10

Ground

very similar to Stoke but with the corners filled in. 8/10

Atmosphere

Only reasonable from a smallish following who had very little to shout about. They baited us about selling all their shit players to Stoke to which we replied those shit players now play in Europe. Quite a few empty seats around the stadium 5/10

Pies and Pints

Great pint of John Smiths at 2.50 in their pub just up from the ground, and had one bought me at half time so dont know the price of the bottle in the ground but at £2.80 the Chicken Balti pie was superb, and hardly any qeueuing 8/10

Performance and result

Poor showing but only the players know how much Kiev took out of them. Dont like Walters in a wide right role, and body language from Pulis at 2-0 suggested that it was certainly not going to be our day. Agree that rotation is necesary but you do leave out players who are playing well 0/10
