Away Day Review - St. James Park - 26/9/10

Last updated : 27 September 2010 By Dan Buxton
Journey:
Horrendous journey with plenty of roadworks and lane closures. Not a good start to the day but thankfully the win made the long trip back a more pleasant one. 3/10

Parking:
As with two years ago we found pretty much the same spot, 5 minutes walk from the ground and free to boot! (I'm not letting on where though!) 10/10

Atmosphere:
Pretty poor overall and very disappointing Geordie noise considering their numbers. We picked up after halftime when we started to play a bit. 6/10

Pies and pints:
Once again we went to Shearers Bar for a pre match pint which is a top class club facility. It certainly gives you food for thought when you compare it to Delilahs. In the ground I saw a mate 'enjoying' the only remaining food on offer (considering we were nowhere near selling out) which was a very sad looking cheese pasty. I thought better of it and went hungry!
10/10 for Shearers, 1/10 for the lack of stadium catering given the away end was only half full.

Performance and result
A truly inept first half followed by an excellent second half once TP finally got some of the lads who should have started on the pitch and playing. Great three points that were very welcome indeed.
1st half 2/10, 2nd half 9/10
