Date of Birth: 11/6/91

Position: Striker

Club: Sunderland

Previous clubs: Watford, Derby County

International caps: England U-19 6 (1)

Noble came through the youth academy at Sunderland, making one first
team appearance in an FA Cup tie last January after being an academy
stand-out.

Noble joined Watford on loan in March 2010 on a loan until the end of
the season. Sunderland saw the deal as a great opportunity for the
youngster to gain first team experience. Noble failed to make a first
team appearance for the club however, despite being an unused
substitute several times.

Noble returned to Sunderland at the start of the 2010/2011 season and
was expected to break into the first team after featuring in the clubs
pre-season. Noble was not assigned a first team squad number at the
start of the season which came as a surprise to many, who now expected
the striker to leave the club on loan. Derby County took Nelson on an
emergency loan, where he made his first appearance as a substitute but
unfortunately suffered a back injury which ended his spell at the club
in October 2010.

Noble has impressed enough for Sunderland’s reserves to earn 6 caps
for England at U-19 level, scoring his first goal against Bosnia.
