Vuckic signed for Newcastle United in 2009 for a ‘substantial’ fee, signing a three and a half year contract with the club. Vuckik is highly regarded around Europe, considered one of the hottest prospects in the game. There have also been recent suggestions that he spent a trial period with Italian giants AC Milan. Vuckic quickly became a regular for Newcastle’s reserves and U-18 team. He made his first team debut in August 2009 in a league cup tie with Huddersfield town, playing as a left winger. Vuckic made his league debut that same week, coming off the bench in against Leicester City. There is little doubt that Vuckic has a bright future, but there is a question as to where he will ply his trade. Vuckic is thought to be keen to become a first team regular with Newcastle but interest from European Superclubs like AC Milan and even Manchester United could see Vuckic leaving St James’ Park.
