King is a pacey left winger, currently playing for Burnley. Born in
Aughton near Ormskirk, King is one of the most promising youth
prospects in Lancashire. First appearing for Burnley reserves in their
final game of the 07/08 season, King was then offered an
apprenticeship deal with the club in May 2008, along with 5 other
players, including the also highly rated Dominic Knowles.

Upon completing his apprenticeship King was offered a professional
deal at the Clarets in May 2010. Now a regular in the reserve and
youth teams King is enjoying a growing reputation at the club, most
known for his pace both with and without the ball at his feet. King
finally made his first team debut for the club in August 2010, coming
on as a substitute for Chris Eagles in a league cup game against
Morecambe, a game in which Burnley came from behind to win the tie
3-1.
