After coming through an apprenticeship at Burnley Football Club,
Dominic Knowles was offered his first professional contract in March
of 2010.  A promising striker who is just as good in the air as on the
ground, Knowles is yet to make a first team appearance for The Clarets
but has been turning heads in his performances for the reserves.

Knowles’ was a regular for the reserves during the 09/10 season at the
young age of 17 and impressed both Director of Youth Martin Dobson and
manager Brian Laws.  When the talented youngster penned his new deal,
Dobson said “It's an exciting time for them and they have deserved
this chance (Knowles and young winger Michael King). We have kept
first team manager Brian Laws involved with everything and he's happy
with these decisions.“

With Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League last season they now
find themselves playing Championship football, offering a better
chance for youth players like Knowles to make that all important first
team debut which are so hard to come by in the top flight.  With a
deal which runs out at the end of the current season Knowles has a lot
of work ahead of him, but is one of the brightest prospects at the
Lancashire club.
