Last updated : 17 February 2010 By Dan Buxton

Name: Mark Cullen

Date of Birth: 24th April 1992

Position: Striker

Club: Hull

Previous clubs: Newcastle United

Striker has an incredible eye for goal and had netted more than 30 goals for the Hull academy side by the end of January this season. His goals and performances had seen him rise up through the ranks, impressing enough for the reserves to earn a first team debut for the Premier League side.

After leaving Newcastle as a 15-year-old he joined Hull and immediately shone, earning talk of a call up to the England youth set up.

Strong and powerful with fantastic finishing abilities Cullen, along with fellow Hull youngster Cairney, is the talk of Humberside as Hull fight against relegation. He has single handedly taken Hull to the top of their youth side division and also to the 5th round of the FA Cup, a great display at the Britannia Stadium helping Hull defeat Stoke in Round Four. He has scored more than 70% of the Hull U18 sides goals this season.

After making his debut against Wigan in January 2010 he will be hoping to add to that before the season ends and then decide next years whether to further his development out on loan or stay and try and fight his way into the Hull first XI on a more permanent basis.
