One to Watch #25: Adam Kay

Position: Midfielder

Club: Burnley(on loan at Chester)

Previous Clubs: Accrington Stanley(loan)

Midfielder who came through the ranks at Burnley, his hometown club, and was given a first professional contract in December 2007, being given the number 25 shirt.

Kay impressed throughout his academy career, running many a game from the centre of midfield, and after being drafted into, and impressing in, the reserve side he was loaned to Accrington in March 2009, where he made three appearances for the Lancashire side.

A tough pre-season with the now Premier League Burnley first team squad was followed by another loan spell as he joined Conference side Chester City. He has been a mainstay in the strugglers side, playing in seventeen games so far and impressing as the side try to overhaul their twenty five point deduction for financial reasons.

Although still awaiting his Burnley debut he has been identified by Owen Coyle and his men as a player with much promise and one they are hoping flourishes into a Premier League player in the near future.
