Aaron Doran is one of the most promising players making his name at Blackburn Rovers. He has caught the eye of Sam Allardyce, and all around at Ewood Park.

Doran made his way through the ranks at Blackburn's Academy, and during the 07/08 season, he made a total of 21 appearances scoring an impressive 9 goals which saw him being quickly promoted to the reserves.

In May 2008, Doran was signed by Blackburn on his first professional contract, by the Rovers boss Paul Ince. He was handed the number 39 shirt and the hope is that he will develop into a great young winger.

At the beginning of the 08/09 Season, Doran was making regular appearances for the Reserve side, and was giving his usual outstanding performances. He bagged two goals for the second string, and made appearances in the FA Youth Cup and the Lancashire Senior Cup. He made appearances for the first team in pre-season, and the promising displays increased the attention surrounding the player.

Towards the end of the season, and with a new boss at the helm, Doran was given his first senior appearance where he came on as a substiute to replace Aaron Mokoena in an away game at Liverpool. As the season drew to a close, he was given to more substitute appearances, against Chelsea and Manchester City, and was starting to make his name known in the Blackburn ranks.

A new contract followed last summer, making him a Rovers player until the summer of 2012, and he opened his senior goal acount when he scored in a pre-season friendly against Roma, a goal that took the game to penalties where Blackburn were beaten.

He continued to progress atg the start of the 2009/10 season and, after scoring two goals in the opening three reserve games, found himself loaned out to League One side MK Dons on 5th October. A month long stay saw the winger make five appearances before the deal ran out last week. Doran is expected to go out on loan once again, probabaly a return to Stadium:MK, for the remainder of the season.

Doran is a skillful, pacey winger who loves taking people on and also has a good eye for goal.
