Every football fan dreams about playing for the side they follow. That dream is just a whisker away for Norwich goalkeeper Declan Rudd.
Rudd has been at the club’s academy since he was nine years old. Although in the nine years at Carrow Road, Rudd has only managed to make the first-team bench once. This came in the final game of the 2007/08 season against Sheffield Wednesday.

He has managed to have a more successful career playing for the national side. Rudd became the first Norwich City player to play at the ‘New Wembley’, a moment which he described as “an honour”.  In 2009, Rudd was a runner-up at the European Under-19 Championships as Ukraine defeated England in the Final.

Although he has great potential, Rudd’s immediate future appears to be back-up for the first team. At 18, Rudd has a decent international CV and could certainly appear in future England Squads.
