Betting Preview- Stoke City v West Ham

Last updated : 11 March 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to book a place in only their third ever FA Cup semi final with victory over West Ham in Sundays big game.

The hosts are favourites at 6/5 with Bet365 ,the draw is 5/2 with BetFred, whilst an away win is available at 11/4 with BlueSQ.

Stoke will hope to repeat the win against Brighton in the last round, last ago, and the win against West Ham last season, to book themselves a trip to Wembley. A repeat of the 3-0 Brighton victory is available at 20's with BlueSQ. Quite a few of the Potters wins this season have been by more than a one goal margin. A 2-0 win, to add to that total, is available at 9's with WilliamHill.

West Ham will be hoping to further boost their confidence with a win against City and 1-0 would do the visitors just nicely. That score is available at 17/2 with most bookies. Six of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 12's with SkyBet for a 2-1 Hammers win could turn out to be a good bet.

Robert Huth is the Potters top scorer and netted twice in the recent win against Sunderland and is 14's with most bookmakers to open the scoring whilst John Carew has started his Potters career promisingly and looks set to start up front and is 6's with most bookies to score first. In form winger Jermaine Pennant has yet to score for the Potters but has struck the woodwork on no less than four occasions and can be backed at 20's, with SkyBet, WilliamHill and Coral, to break the deadlock.

West Ham are looking to book their own place in the semi finals and striker Demba Ba has been crucial to their recent success and, after scoring the opener last weekend, is 15/2 with Bet365 to break the deadlock, whilst talismanic captain Scott Parker will be hoping to inspire another victory over the Potters and is available at 16's with most bookies to net first.
