Betting Preview - Wigan v Stoke

Last updated : 03 December 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to earn a second away win in a row when they travel to Wigan in todays big game.

The Potters are favourites at 7/4 with most bookies whilst the hosts are narrowly behind at 15/8 with BetFred for the game whilst a draw is available at 23/10 with StanJames.

Stoke will hope to repeat the recent away win against West Brom to rise further up the table. A repeat of that 3-0 away win is available at 40's with BlueSQ. All but two of the Potters league wins this season have been by a one goal margin. A 2-1 win, to keep that run going, is available at 11's with BlueSQ.

Wigan will be hoping to seal a long overdue top flight win against City and 1-0 would do the hosts just nicely. That score is available at 7's with most bookmakers. Six of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 10/1 with SkyBet and WilliamHill for a 2-1 Wigan win could turn out to be a good bet.

Kenwyne Jones is the Potters top scorer and on his day is unplayable and is 7/1 with bwin to open the scoring whilst Ricardo Fuller has two in two and looks set to start up front and is also 7/1 with bwin to score first. In form winger Matthew Etherington has netted twice in two games and can be backed at 14's, with bwin, to break the deadlock.

Wigan are ravaged by injuries but star man Charles N'Zogbia should be available and is 8's with Coral to break the deadlock, whilst Tom Cleverly will be looking to build on his goal last week and is 12/1 with Coral to net first.
