Betting Preview - West Ham v Stoke

Last updated : 27 October 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to progress to the quarter finals of the Carling Cup for the second time in three seasons in tonights 4th round tie at West Ham.

The hosts are favourites at 7/5 with VictorChandler whilst the Potters are outsiders for the game at Upton Park with BetFred and Ladbrokes offering odds of 11/5 for an away win whilst a draw is available at 12/5 with SkyBet.

Stoke will hope to repeat the away win at West Ham last season and book their place in the last eight this evening. A 1-0 away win is available at 8's with PaddyPower and WilliamHill. All of the Potters league wins this season have been by a one goal margin. A 2-1 win, to keep that run going, is available at 11's with SkyBet and BetFred.

West Ham will be hoping to seal a much needed home win and 1-0 would do he hosts just nicely. That score is available at 7's with most bookies. Six of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 9's with SkyBet for a West Ham 2-1 win could turn out to be a good bet.

Jones is on fire for Stoke and is 7's with BetFred and Coral to open the scoring whilst Tuncay also looks set to start up front and is 10/1 with BetFred to score first. Former West Ham winger Matthew Etherington is due a goal and can be backed at 16's, also with BetFred, to break the deadlock.

West Ham rely heavily on England duo Scott Parker, 18/2 with SkyBet and PaddyPower to break the deadlock, and Carlton Cole, 6/1 with BetFred and SkyBet, to net first.
