Betting Preview - Stoke v West Brom

Last updated : 26 February 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to earn a fourth homr win in a row when they host West Brom in Mondays big game.

The hosts are favourites at 10/11 with most bookies whilst the visitors are outsiders at 7/2 with Coral for the game whilst a draw is available at 5/2 with StanJames, SkyBet and VictorChandler.

Stoke will hope to repeat the win at home to Sunderland three weeks ago to rise further up the table. A repeat of that 3-2 home win is available at 33/1 with SkyBet. Quite a few of the Potters league wins this season have been by more than a one goal margin. A 3-0 win, to add to that total and repeat the score from the Hawthornes earlier in the season, is available at 18's with Coral.

The Baggies will be hoping to get their survival bid going with a win against City and 1-0 would do the visitors just nicely. That score is available at 11's with Coral. Six of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 14's with mosts bookies for a 2-1 West Brom win could turn out to be a good bet.

Robert Huth is the Potters top scorer and netted twice in the recent win against Sunderland and is 14's with BlueSQ to open the scoring whilst John Carew is already a fans favourite, and will no doubt get some stick as a Villa player and also looks set to start up front and is 11/2 with SkyBet to score first. In form winger Jermaine Pennant has yet to score for Stoke but has come close on numerous occasions and can be backed at 18's, with SkyBet, to break the deadlock.

West Brom are hoping to keep themselves out of the relegation zone and striker Marc-Antoine Fortune has been a major player in recent times and is 11/1 with BlueSQ to break the deadlock, whilst talismanic captain Chris Brunt will be hoping to inspire victory and is available at 14's with BlueSQ to net first.
