Betting Preview - Stoke v Liverpool

Last updated : 12 November 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to earn a second home win in four days when they entertain Liverpool at the Britannia Stadium in Saturdays evening kick off.

The hosts are outsiders at 3's with VictorChandler, Boylesports and SkyBet whilst the visitors are favourites for the game with William Hill offering odds of 23/20 for an away win whilst a draw is available at 5/2 with Boylesports.

Stoke will hope to repeat the midweek home win against Birmingham and rise further up the table. A 1-0 home win is available at 9's with BlueSq and SkyBet. All of the Potters league wins this season have been by a one goal margin. A 2-1 win, to keep that run going, is available at 14's with Boylesports and BetFred.

Liverpool will be hoping to seal a much needed away win and 1-0 would do he visitors just nicely. That score is available at 6's with most bookies. Six of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 9's with StanJames for a Liverpool 2-1 win could turn out to be a good bet.

Kenwyne Jones is the Potters top scorer and on his day is unplayable and is 7's with Ladbrokes to open the scoring whilst Tuncay also looks set to start up front and is 9/1 with Ladbrokes to score first. Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant is closing on a goal and can be backed at 25's, with Coral, to break the deadlock.

Liverpool rely heavily on world stars Fernando Torres, 9/2 with  PaddyPower to break the deadlock, and Steven Gerrard, 13/2 with BetFred and Bet365 and PaddyPower, to net first.
