Betting Preview - Stoke v Everton

Last updated : 31 December 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to earn a first home win in four games when they host Everton in tomorrows big game.

The hosts are outsiders at 7/4 with VictorChandler whilst the visitors are favourites at 9/5 with PaddyPower and StanJames for the game whilst a draw is available at 23/10 with SkyBet and Coral.

Stoke will hope to get an overdue home win and rise further up the table. A thrilling 3-2 home win is available at 40/1 with WilliamHill and SkyBet. All but three of the Potters league wins this season have been by a one goal margin. A 2-1 win, to keep that run going, is available at 10's with BetFred.

Everton will be hoping to add to their great run of form against Stoke, they haven't lost in twelve encounters, with a win against City and 1-0 would do the visitors just nicely. That score is available at 7's with most bookies. Six of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 21/2 with UniBet for a 2-1 Everton win could turn out to be a good bet.

Kenwyne Jones is the Potters top scorer and on his day is unplayable and is 6/1 with Coral to open the scoring whilst Ricardo Fuller has two in five and looks set to start up front and is also 7/1 with SkyBet, William Hill, bwin and BlueSQ to score first. In form winger Matthew Etherington has netted three times recently and can be backed at 12's, with most bookies, to break the deadlock.

Everton are just below the Potters but will be hoping to go above the Potters with a win and Tim Cahill is often a thorn in the Potters side. The Australian is 6's with all bookies to break the deadlock, whilst in form defender Leighton Baines is 25/1 with most bookies to net first.
