Betting Preview - Stoke v Bolton(FA Cup Semi Final)

Last updated : 15 April 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to book themselves a place in the FA Cup final for the first time in Sundays big game.

Bolton are favourites at 6/4 with most bookies, the draw is 12/5 with Boylesports, whilst a Potters win is available at 2/1 with WilliamHill, BetFred and VictorChandler.

Stoke will hope to repeat the performance against Bolton at the Britannia to book themselves a return to Wembley. A repeat of that game, a 2-0 Potters victory, is available at 14's with Coral, WilliamHill and SkyBet. Quite a few of the Potters wins this season have been by more than a one goal margin. A 3-1 win, to add to that total, is available at 28's with StanJames and SkyBet. It could be one moment of magic that settles the game though, a 1-0 City win is 17/2 with Bwin.

Bolton will be hoping to book themselves a cup final spot with a win against City and 1-0 would do the Trotters just nicely. That score is available at 29/4 with UniBet. Seven of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 10's, at PaddyPower, for a 2-1 Bolton win could turn out to be a good bet.

Robert Huth is the Potters top scorer and is 19's with UniBet to open the scoring again this week whilst Jon Walters has been the City FA Cup hero and is bang in form. The former Bolton man is 8's with VictorChandler to score first. In form winger Jermaine Pennant opened his account for the Potters recently and has struck the woodwork on no less than four occasions. He can be backed at 20's, with most bookies, to break the deadlock. Kenwyne Jones recently ended a long goal drought and has looked in fine form lately, the Potters record signing is 27/4 with UniBet to net the opener.

Bolton are in good form themselves but are without key frontman Daniel Sturridge so will look to Johan Elmander for the firepower to put them through. The Scandinavian superstar is 6's with Bet365, SkyBet, Coral and VictorChandler to break the deadlock, whilst key defender Gary Cahill will be hoping to inspire his side to victory over the Potters and is available at 25's with WilliamHill to net first.
