Betting Preview - Stoke v Bolton

Last updated : 15 January 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to build on a good start to 2011 with a home win this afternoon.

The hosts are favourites at 23/20 with numerous bookies whilst the visitors are outsiders at 3's with VictorChandler for the game whilst a draw is available at 23/10 with most bookmakers.

Stoke will hope to get a second home win of the year and rise further up the table. A thrilling 3-2 home win is available at 35/1 with Bwin. A 1-0 home win, to just put a bit more daylight between City and the drop zone, is available at 7's with StanJames.

Bolton will be hoping to add to their great run of form against Stoke, they haven't lost in four games against Stoke, with another win against City and 1-0 would do the visitors just nicely. That score is available at 9's with BlueSQ. Seven of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1, aswell as this game last season and the return fixture at Bolton this season, so 12's with Coral, VictorChandler, Bet365 and SkyBet for a 2-1 Wanderers win could turn out to be a good bet.

Kenwyne Jones is the Potters top scorer and on his day is unplayable and is 6/1 with SkyBet to open the scoring whilst Ricardo Fuller will be looking to remind boss Pulis of his ability with Demba Ba set to sign and is also 7/1 with SkyBet to score first. In form winger Matthew Etherington has netted three times recently and can be backed at 12's, with most bookies, to break the deadlock.

Bolton are over achieving this season and a lot of that is down to striker Johan Elmander. The Swede is 15/2 with uniBet to break the deadlock, whilst strike partner Kevin Davies is 15/2 with most bookmakers Coral to net first.
