Betting Preview - Stoke v Blackburn

Last updated : 02 October 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will hope to pick up three more points in this afternoons home game against Blackburn Rovers.

The hosts are favourites at 13/10 with most bookies whilst Rovers are outsiders for the game at the Brit with Bet365 and Victor Chandler offering odds of 12/5 for an away win whilst a draw is available at 23/10 with BetFred.

Stoke will hope to build on the away win at Newcastle last weekend and take the spoils this afternoon. A 1-0 home win is available at 7's with Coral, Ladbrokes and StanJames. Both of the Potters wins this season have been by two goals to one. That score is available at 9's with BlueSQ.

Blackburn will be hoping to capitalise on the Potters injury problems and they will be thrilled to come away with a 1-0 win. That score is available at 17/2 with VictorChandler. Four of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 23/2 with Unibet for a Rovers 2-1 win turn out to be a good bet.

Jones is on fire for Stoke and is 11/2 with BlueSQ and VictorChandler to open the scoring whilst former Rovers frontman Walters is set to partner him up front and is 8/1 with SkyBet to score first. Potters winger Matthew Etherington is due a goal and can be backed at 14's with SkyBet to break the deadlock.

Blackburn rely, like the Potters, on set pieces and their own Jones, centre back Phil, has shown himself to be dangerous and is available at 40/1 with bwin to score first. His partner in defence Chris Samba reguarly finds the net and if you think he will score first then bwin offer 22/1.
