Betting Preview - Liverpool v Stoke

Last updated : 01 February 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to earn a second away win in four days when they travel to Liverpool in tomorrows big game.

The hosts are massive favourites at 4/6 with VictorChandler whilst the visitors are outsiders at 5's with near enough every bookie for the game whilst a draw is available at 3's with BetFred.

Stoke will hope to repeat the win at Wolves on Sunday to rise further up the table. A repeat of that 1-0 away win is available at 14/1 with Coral. Quite a few of the Potters league wins this season have been by more than a one goal margin. A 2-0 win, to add to that total, is available at 40's with Coral and Boylesports.

Liverpool will be hoping to keep their recovery going with a win against City and 1-0 would do the hosts just nicely. That score is available at 6's with StanJames, BetFred and VictorChandler. Six of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 8's with Coral and Bet365 for a 2-1 Liverpool win could turn out to be a good bet.

Kenwyne Jones is the Potters top scorer and on his day is unplayable and is 19/2 with Unibet to open the scoring whilst John Carew is looking promising and looks set to start up front and is 10/1 with Bet365 to score first. In form winger Matthew Etherington has netted four times recently and can be backed at 18's, with Bet365, to break the deadlock.

Liverpool are rocking since Kenny Dalglish returned and new £23m signing Suarez will debut against Stoke and is 9/2 with bet365 to break the deadlock, whilst Kop legend Steven Gerrard will be hoping to inspire another victory and is 11/2 with SkyBet, BetFred and Bet365 to net first.
