Betting Preview - Bolton v Stoke

Last updated : 15 October 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will hope to pick up three more points in this weekends away trip to Bolton.

The hosts are favourites at 5/4 with BetFred and WilliamHill whilst the Potters are outsiders for the game at the Reebok Stadium with Boylesports offering odds of 13/5 for an away win whilst a draw is available at 23/10 with BetFred and StanJames.

Stoke will hope to build on the away win at Newcastle on their last trip and take the spoils this Saturday afternoon. A 1-0 away win is available at 19/2 with Unibet. All of the Potters league wins this season have been by a one goal margin. A 2-1 win, to keep that run going, is available at 12's with SkyBet and BlueSQ.

Bolton will be hoping to grab a first home win of the season and will look to repeat their 3-1 victory over Stoke, handed out in the Potters first ever Premier League game. That score is available at 18's with most bookies. Four of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 17/2 with SkyBet for a Bolton 2-1 win could turn out to be a good bet.

Jones is on fire for Stoke and is 13/2 with BlueSQ and Bet365 to open the scoring whilst former Bolton frontman Walters is set to partner him up front and is 12/1 with bwin to score first for the second game running. Potters winger Matthew Etherington is due a goal and can be backed at 16's with most bookies to break the deadlock.

Bolton are believed to rely, like the Potters, on set pieces and centre back Gary Cahill has shown himself to be dangerous and is available at 22/1 with Coral, Ladbrokes and PaddyPower to score first. Kevin Davies made his England debut in midweek and could well turn that positive feeling into the opening goal, Bwin and SkyBet offer 7's on that outcome.
