Betting Preview - Blackpool v Stoke

Last updated : 29 April 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to carry on their great recent form and pick up three vital Premier League points against Blackpool in tomorrows big game.

The Potters are favourites at 17/10 with WilliamHill, the draw is 5/2 with VictorChandler, whilst a home win is available at 7/4  with StanJames, SkyBet and VictorChandler.

Stoke will hope to repeat the performance against Wolves last time out to keep themselves in the top half of the Premier League, as they currently sit 10th on 42 points. A repeat of the result when these two last clashed on the seaside in December 2007, a 3-2 Potters win, is available at 28's with most bookies. Quite a few of the Potters wins this season have been by more than a one goal margin. A 2-0 win, to add to that total, is available at 14's with Bet365, Coral and WilliamHill.

Blackpool will be hoping to get themselves out of the bottom three with a win against City and 1-0 would do the hosts just nicely. That score is available at 23/2 with UniBet. Seven of the Potters games this season have ended 2-1 so 10's with BetFred for a 2-1 Tangerine win could turn out to be a good bet.

Kenwyne Jones is the Potters top scorer, and is on fire at the minute netting four in four, and is 25/4 with UniBet to open the scoring this week whilst Robert Huth also netted last week and is one strike away from being the first poitters defender to net 10 goals in a season. The German is 18's with VictorChandler, BlueSQ and UniBet to score first on Saturday. In form winger Jermaine Pennant was outstanding midweek and netted the third. He can be backed at 14's, with VictorChandler, BlueSQ and Coral, to break the deadlock.

Blackpool have struggled for form of late and star man Charlie Adam has struggled to find the net with the same regularity as he did at the start of the campaign. The Scot is 8's with VictorChandler and SkyBet to break the deadlock, whilst striker DJ Campbell, who netted the only goal when these two sides met at the Brit in December, will be hoping to inspire his side to a much needed victory over the Potters and is 6's with VictorChandler, BlueSQ and SkyBet.
