Betting Guide: Fulham v Stoke

Last updated : 05 May 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke go into this game looking to finish the season strongly with a victory against an impressive Fulham side. The Londoners have recovered from a bad start to sit on the verge of a place in the top half in the league during the second half of the season.

The Potters are outsiders for the game and are available at 11/4 with BetFred. Fulham can be backed at 6/5 with SkyBet.The draw is 5/2 with StanJames.

Stoke will be hoping to grab a fourth away win of the season and a scrappy 1-0 win is available at 9/1 with BlueSQ. The Potters may go for it, with nothing to lose, and a repeat of the score at the Brit, a 3-2 win for Stoke, is 50/1 with SkyBet. The Potters have been defending well recently so a clean sheet is achievable and BlueSQ and PaddyPower offer 18/1 on a 2-0 Stoke win against a side that has had a fixture pile up of late.

Fulham have been in fantastic form, and beat Manchester United 3-0 at the Cottage earlier this season. They may have to grind out a 1-0 win to get another three points, with the Potters guaranteed to get stuck in and make it difficult. That scoreline is 13/2 with Coral. When the Potters travelled to The Cottage in the cup 3 seasons ago that game ended 3-0 to the hosts and BlueSQ and SkyBet offer 20's on a repeat of that. Stoke have drew 1-1 away several times this season and both sides may settle for a point late on. A 1-1 draw is 6/1 with Boylesports and BlueSQ.

City will be hoping that the recent positive performances can be repeated and Ricardo Fuller, who is bang in form, at 15/2 with the majority of bookmakers to open the scoring, and Matthew Etherington will be hoping to net to keep alive his top scorer aims and is 14/1 with BlueSQ and StanJames to break the deadlock. Ryan Shawcross made an impressive return to the side at the weekend and is 22/1 at Bet365 to continue that fine form with the opening goal.

Bobby Zamora is always a danger and is available at 11/2 at Coral to open the scoring whilst midfielder Danny Murphy can strike a ball well and is available at 10's with Bet365 and BetFred to net first. Damien Duff is another to find the net reguarly and is 11/1 with Coral and BetFred to score the opener.
