Betting Guide: Stoke v Arsenal

Last updated : 26 February 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke go into this game on the back of a great run as they look to make it twelve games unbeaten. Arenal are in a good position, sitting within touching distance of the summit of the Premier League.

The Potters are, as expectedly, outsiders for the game and are available a massive 9/2 with Coral and SkyBet. Arsenal can be backed at 8/11 with Boylesports, BetFred, PaddyPower, StanJames and Bet365.The draw is 13/5 with Bet365, BetFred, SkyBet and BlueSQ.

Stoke will be hoping to grab another big name scalp and a repeat of last months 3-1 win is available at 66/1 with Coral. The Potters may go for it, being bang in form, 3-2 to Stoke is 50/1 with most bookies. The Potters have been conceding one goal quite often lately so a clean sheet may not be coming and BetFred and Coral offer 20/1 on a 2-1 Stoke win, a repeat of last seasons scoreline.

Arsenal are fantastic at home but have struggled more for victories on their travels, especially at sides that play 'hostile' football. They may have to grind out a 1-0 win to get the points. That scoreline is 13/2 with Bwin.com. When Stoke travelled to The Emirates in December that game ended 2-0 to the hosts and PaddyPower and BetFred and PaddyPower offer 7's on a repeat of that. Stoke have been playing a huge number of games recently and may have to settle for a draw this time out, 1-1 is 13/2 with SkyBet.

City will be hoping that the recent positive performance against Blackburn and Arsenal can be repeated and both Ricardo Fuller, who scored the Potters goal against Arsenal in the last two games between these two at the Brit, at 8's with BetFred, BlueSQ, PaddyPower and Coral to open the scoring, and David Kitson, 10's with Bet365 and StanJames to net first, will be hoping to repeat Wednesdays opening strike. Glenn Whelan will be hoping to net again after running into some great form and is 22/1 with BlueSQ, BetFred and PaddyPower to break the deadlock again.

Nicklas Bendter has been up front on his own and is 6/1 at Bet365 and StanJames to open the scoring whilst midfielder Cesc Fabregas is the heartbeat if the team and is available at 6's with Boylesports and PaddyPower to net first. William Gallas has netted his fair share this season and is 28/1 with Coral to score the opener.
