Best Odds - WBA v Stoke

Last updated : 27 August 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to pick up their first win of the Premier League campaign against West Brom in this weekends big game.

The hosts are favourites at 23/20 with PaddyPower, the draw is 12/5 with SkyBet, whilst an away win is available at 14/5 with VictorChandler.

Stoke will hope to repeat many a recent performance against West Brom and have twice ran out 3-1 winners in the last five years. A repeat of that scoreline is available at 33's with most bookies. Quite a few of the Potters wins last season were by more than one goal. A 2-0 win, to kick off this seasons away league wins, is available at 18's with StanJames, Bet365, Boylesport, Coral and WilliamHill.

West Brom will be hoping to finally get off the mark for 2011/12 with a win against City, and 1-0 would do the hosts just nicely. That score is available at 7's with StanJames. Seven of the Potters games last season ended 2-1 so 17/2 with StanJames and UniBet for a 2-1 Baggies win could turn out to be a good bet.

Robert Huth is a regular Potters scorer and is 18's with Bet365 to open the scoring this week whilst Jon Walters came off the bench to bag a brace at the Hawthorns last season. The Irishman is 21/2 with UniBet to score first. Winger Jermaine Pennant started scoring towards the end of last season and set up three goals in Thursday's 4-1 win to kickstart his season. He can be backed at 20's, with Coral, to break the deadlock.

West Brom have started the season with two 2-1 defeats, against Manchester United and Chelsea, Shane Long netting in both. The striker is 6's with PaddyPower to break the deadlock, whilst Baggies talisman Chris Brunt will be hoping to get his side off the mark for the season and is available at 14's with Coral to net first.
