Best Odds - Stoke v Newcastle

Last updated : 30 October 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to get themselves back in the top half of the Premier League with a victory in Mondays big game.

The hosts are favourites at 6/5 with BetFred, Boylesports, WilliamHill, Ladbrokes and totesport, the draw is 40/17 with 188bet, whilst an away win is available at 11/4 with Bet365.

Stoke will hope to repeat the performance against Newcastle last season, when City triumphed 4-0. A repeat of that scoreline is available at 66's with BetFred, Boylesports and totesport. Quite a few of the Potters home wins this season have been by more than one goal. A 2-0 win, to comfortably see City to victory, is available at 9's with BetFred and WilliamHill.

Newcastle will be hoping to preserve their unbeaten league run, now at nine games, and 2-0 would do the visitors just nicely. That score is available at 18/1 with BetFred and totesport. Seven of the Potters games last season ended 2-1 so 13's, available with unibet, for a 2-1 Toon win could turn out to be a good bet.

Peter Crouch will be hoping to make an impact with a probable recall to the side and is 13/2 with BlueSQ to open the scoring whilst Cameron Jerome may get a rare league start for the Potters. The ex-Birmingham frontman is 8's with bwin to score first. Winger Jermaine Pennant hopes to recover from a hamstring injury to play in the league game. The former Liverpool winger can be backed at 20's, with SkyBet and WilliamHill, to break the deadlock in a rerun of a fixture in which he netted last season.

Leon Best looks to be in the form of his career this campaign and is 17/2 with SkyBet to keep that form going and open the scoring. Demba Ba, rejected by Stoke after a failed medical, is the Toon Army's top scorer and is 15/2 with Unibet to open the scoring on the night.
