Best Odds - Dynamo Kiev v Stoke

Last updated : 14 September 2011 By Dan Buxton

Stoke City will look to start the group stages of the Europa League in positive fashion when they take on Dynamo Kiev in Thursdays nights big game.

The hosts are favourites at 5/6 with BlueSQ and StanJames, the draw is 13/5 with WilliamHill, VictorChandler and Bet365, whilst an away win is available at 15/4 with WilliamHill, Bet365 and VictorChandler.

Stoke will hope to repeat the performance against Hajduk Split and Thun in the last two European away games, when City triumphed 1-0. A repeat of that scoreline is available at 10's with Coral, WilliamHill and PaddyPower. Quite a few of the Potters wins last season were by more than one goal. A 2-0 win, to comfortably send City through, is available at 28's with Coral.

Dynamo Kiev will be hoping to get their own group stage off to a good start and know to do that they need a win against City, and 2-0 would do the hosts just nicely. That score is available at 7/1 with PaddyPower and WilliamHill. Seven of the Potters games last season ended 2-1 so 15/2 with most bookies for a 2-1 Kiev win could turn out to be a good bet.

Robert Huth is a regular Potters scorer and is 20's with WilliamHill, Bet365, Ladbrokes and VictorChandler to open the scoring again this week whilst Kenwyne Jones has already netted three times this season, including twice in Europe. The striker is 11's with VictorChandler to score first on his return to the side. Winger Jermaine Pennant started scoring towards the end of last season. He can be backed at 25's, with Coral, to break the deadlock.
