Telford 7-2 Stoke Ramblers

Stoke Ramblers unbeaten start to 2011 came to an abrupt end, despite a positive performance at Telford.
The Ramblers were undone time and again by the pace of the Telford wingers, and striker, and many balls over the top of the defence ended up in the back of the net as Telford finished well.
Stoke gave a debut to keeper Darren Shenton, with regular keeper Rich Glennen unavailable, whilst the Ramblers were also missing defenders Dan Buxton and Dan Heard and midfielder Alex Bradford.
Co-manager Simon Duckmanton said that it was "the best we've played" and also how "the scoreline wasn't a fair reflection"
Telford started well and playing to their advantages were soon out of sight but a goal by Nick Newman gave the Ramblers hope. A second striker for the visitors, from Lee Tawn, failed to spark a comeback despite an onslaught that saw Stoke heap continuous pressure on the hosts goal but the home defence did fantastically well to hold firm and keep the ball out of the net
