Stoke Ramblers marched into the last four of the IFA Midlands Cup, thrashing Burton by seven goals to nil.

Burton arrived at Halls Road looking to book their own place in the semi finals but, despite a good, committed display, were blown away by a hungry Ramblers outfit that are now unbeaten in three months at home.

The Ramblers started well and were three goals to the good at the break, thanks to a brace from Lee Jacquise and a first goal for the club by Simon Duckmanton.

The score showed the Ramblers clinical side and the defence was also rock solid, keeping the visitors at bay whenever they threatened the Ramblers goal, and when the backline was breached keeper Richard Glennan was on hand to deny Burton with three or four good stops in the second half.

The second period did see Ramblers add four more strikes, another three for master marksman Lee Jacquise and a strike for Dan Barkell.
Stoke now go into tomorrows semi final draw along with West Brom, Telford and Stafford Rangers.
