5-a-side preview: v PSV Hangover(8/12/10)

Last updated : 08 December 2010 By Dan Buxton

Hardly Athletic look to keep their fine run of form going in tonights final game of the season.

Hardly have secured more league points than all but one side in the division during the second half of the season, and last week claimed their first cup shock when they defeated Division One side Take Over Target by two goals to one.

After climbing off the bottom when they defeated the league's 4th placed side Port Vale DFC in their last game, they now incredibly have the opportunity to finish the season in 5th position, but need a win against PSV tonight.

Hangover are gunning for promotion and may have secured their place in Division One for next season by the time this game kicks off, as this will be the final game of the day, and season.

Hardly are no strangers to last day shocks, they beat last seasons champions Eaton Park 3-1 on the final day of last season, a result which gave optimism going into this campaign, optimism soon flushed away with ten straight defeats at the start of the season.

Dan Middleton and Matthew Peart again both miss out with knee injuries whilst Paul Dale returns for last weeks Man of the Match Rich Glennon in goal.

Chris Cope is banned after his sending off last week so Dan Buxton, Andy McEvoy, Matthew Young and Dan Hallam will play out.

Squad:

Paul Dale
