Hardly Get Off The Mark With Convincing Win

Hardly finally got off the mark in season three, putting five successive defeats behind them to defeat Inter Ya Nan by six goals to nil.

Hardly dominated from the start against a struggling Inter side and had countless opportunities to further extend their lead throughout the game.

The goals arrived through a first hat trick for Matthew Young, a brace from Andy McEvoy and a first for the season from Matthew Peart.

The game wasn't without the usual refereeing controversy as Chris Cope found himself sin binned for four minutes after being slapped by an Inter player!

The Inter player had already barged into Cope before Cope returned the favour a minute or so later, both legal challenges, but the opposition player took offence to the shoulder barge and slapped Cope around the back of the head. The ref stepped in and ordered both players off for a four minute sin bin.
