City went behind in the first three minutes of both halves but came back and two late, late goals from Robert Huth saw them claim all three points at the death, but who did you vote Man of the Match:

1) John Carew - 37.1% - Was fantastic on his home debut as he gave a perfect target man display. Was unplayable for the Sunderland defence and scored the opener with a poachers goal. Also had his part to play in the second as he nudged the ball past the keeper into the path of Huth
2) Jermaine Pennant - 28.6% - Was a constant menace to the Mackems and two absolutely fantastic deliveries from free kicks put the two late goals on a plate for his teammates.
3) Robert Huth - 7.6% - Defender was a bit off in his day job as a defender, at fault for the 2nd Sunderland goal, but that was all forgotten when he netted twice in the last few minutes to turn a defeat into a victory
