It was a game of two halves at St. James Park as the Potters turned round an ultra defensive first half performance, that saw City trail at half time, to win with two second half goals as Stoke clawed themselves away from the drop zone.
1) Jones - 32.9% - Big striker was well out of the game in the first half as City defended deep in their own half. Second half saw him absolutely dominate the game, hitting the woodwork twice before netting the equaliser. Continued to batter the Geordies back line and helped the Potters win the game late on.
2) Diao - 30.8% - Superb first half performance as the anchorman in the midfield, refusing to let anything get past him in his first league appearance of the season. Was withdrawn minutes after half time as his lack of match practice caught up with him
3) Etherington - 10.3% - Winger had another cracking game, getting up and down the wing and being by far the best outlet for the Potters midfield. More assists to add to his already large haul for the season
4) Fuller - 5.5%
5) Shawcross - 4.8%
6) Whitehead - 3.4%
