Poll Result: Man of the Match v Burnley

Last updated : 13 March 2010 By Dan Buxton

Stoke may have relinquished the lead at Turf Moor but one man that led from the beginning of this poll refused to give it up and streaked away with the win. Defender Abdoulaye Faye seems to be returning to form since his suspension and that earnt him 4th place, whilst Lawrence, Sidibe, Sorenson, Whitehead and Wilkinson all picked up the odd vote. The top 3 were as follows:

3) Tuncay - 13.0% - Turkish star scored goal with a great run and well placed header. Ran himself into the ground all game and was shattered by the time he was withdrawn

2) Matthew Etherington - 18.2% - Fantastic on return to the side. He picked up where he left off before his injury with a probing and pressing display. Such a bonus for the side to have him on the wing

1) Rory Delap - 44.2% - Played one of, if not thee, best game in a Potters shirt as he controlled the game from the centre of midfield. Another long throw set up the goal but his game was much more as he broke forward, spread the play, broke up attacks and covered his defenders.
