Poll Result: Man of the Match v Blackburn

Last updated : 01 December 2009 By Dan Buxton

In a hotly contested poll for this weeks Man of the match award only one man, substitute Abdoulaye Faye failed to poll any votes.

There was one man who eventually pulled away for a comfortable victory but underneath him no more than one vote seperated one player and the person below him. Matthew Etherington was the man to just miss out on the top 3, buy one vote, and that ended his run of six consecutive league games where the winger had finished in the top trio. The top 3 are as follows:

3) Ricardo Fuller - 11.5% - Set up numerous gilt edged chances but couldn't find a goal himself in a typical Fuller performance

2) Dean Whitehead - 13.5% - Energy filled midfielder ran all game long. Had two great opportunities but couldn't finish them and broke up play fantastically in his best performance in a Stoke shirt

1) Thomas Sorenson - 21.2% - Sixth clean sheet of the season and well deserved Man of the Match award. Some great saves kept the scores level and earnt his side a valuable point

Thomas Sorenson is the new leader in the Player of the Season table with three MOTM awards
